Deaconess Joyce Olamibosipo Akinola, is an educationist by profession. She obtained her National Certificate in Education, and Bachelor of Arts (English) both from the University of Lagos. She also obtained her Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, University of London. She had taught in various schools in Nigeria where she rose to the level of a Principal before she travelled to the United Kingdom. While there, she also taught at various schools both within inner and Greater London.

Deaconess Akinola is the Chairperson for Christ Hospital Ministry, Nigeria, and the Vice President, Christ Hospital Ministry, Africa. The ministry is a non denominational Christian NGO with its Headquarters in the United Kingdom where she is also a Trustee of Christ Hospital Ministry, UK. She is the CEO of Everock Properties Ltd: a property company she established about 20 years ago which she runs till date. She is married to Overseer Thomas Oluyemi isola Akinola. They are blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren
